Enoteca Ai Cavai is located inside a historic space in the heart of Trieste — once home to one of the city’s most iconic and beloved osterie. The atmosphere still breathes its past, with original wall paintings from the 1950s depicting majestic horses, the unmistakable symbol of the place that gives it its name: “Ai Cavai.”

Today, Ai Cavai is a contemporary wine bar and shop with a soul.

We offer over 500 fine wine labels — both Italian and international — available for takeaway or to enjoy by the glass in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

The food selection features carefully chosen gourmet specialties, including premium charcuterie and cheeses, artisanal panini and crostini, and our famous 100gr. meatballs “LA MITICA”. 

Signature dishes include PINSA ROMANA by Corrado Di Marco, the inventor of this marvellous dough made with rice and soy flour, light and crispy topped with our fresh products, Then the fresh BUFALO MOZZARELLA by Caseificio D’Angelo from Caserta and the premium selection of CANTABRIC ANCHOVIES from Spain served with crunchy bread.
